The infrastructure and equipment fund sustains the Centre’s investments in state-of-the-art technology, and maintains and builds its infrastructure both on campus, and in the field. The University has invested in dedicated facilities for the Centre although with the expected growth of the Centre over the next several years, even these large facilities are expected to be outgrown in the near future. Investment in this fund also ensures African scientists are able to stay at the front of technological advances in the field in dating, imaging and computational areas.
